Forward Deployed Engineer
Billing Automation for B2B that actually works.
We are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer who is deeply technical, highly communicative, and comfortable working directly with customers every day. This is a remote, engineering-embedded role where you will work closely with core engineers and the founders, while also acting as a support engineer and technical partner for customers.

Founders, executives, startups, and finance teams are drowning in time-sucking financial work: messy sales contracts, fragmented billing models, unpredictable cash flow, and outdated, expensive tools that slow everything down.
The financial stack today is broken.
We are not building another dashboard or another shallow app. We are building real infrastructure that sits at the core of how modern companies make and collect money.
Role Summary
This is not a traditional sales role and not a ticket-only support role. It is a high-ownership execution role tied directly to customer success.
You will:
- Implement customers end-to-end
- Own customer onboarding and data imports
- Communicate with customers constantly
- Turn real customer needs into shipped product
What You'll Do
Customer Communication & Support
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers
- Communicate with customers daily via Slack, email, and video calls
- Own customer issues from report → diagnosis → resolution → follow-up
- Provide hands-on support engineering for production issues and edge cases
- Clearly explain issues, timelines, and tradeoffs in strong, professional English
Forward-Deployed & Implementation Work
- Lead customer implementations end-to-end
- Import and configure all customer data
- Translate customer requests into clear technical requirements
- Partner with sales during technical discovery and scoping
- Be accountable for customers going live successfully
Engineering & Product Work
- Work day-to-day with core engineers
- Build customer importing tools used daily by finance teams and founders
- Work across the stack and touch real production systems
- Contribute directly to the codebase where appropriate
- Feed customer feedback back into product and technical direction
Compensation Structure
- Fixed base salary (stable, predictable)
- Implementation success fee paid per successful customer go-live
Success fee is triggered when:
- • Customer is live in production
- • Implementation meets agreed success criteria
Incentives are aligned with shipping, quality, and customer outcomes, not demos or quotas.
Working Hours & Environment
- Working Hours: Central Time (CT) business hours required
- Must be available during CT time to support customers
- Fully remote role
- Required for real-time collaboration with customers, engineers, and founders
- Occasional off-hours work may be required for go-lives or escalations
Remote does not mean asynchronous-only — live collaboration matters
What We're Looking For
Technical
- Full-stack engineer, developer, or hacker
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
- Comfortable working with APIs, integrations, and production systems
- Able to debug real customer problems and ship fixes
- Writes clean, maintainable code
Communication
- Excellent spoken and written English is required
- Comfortable leading customer calls independently
- Clear, calm, and trustworthy communicator
- Respects users and explains complexity without condescension
