JustPaid Experiences: Selling AI Software in the U.S.

Working at JustPaid has been one of the most exciting and challenging experiences of my career. Selling AI-driven software across the U.S. has given me a unique perspective on how technology is reshaping financial operations.

JutPaid Experiences: Selling AI Software in the U.S.

Our clients range from small startups to large-scale companies, each with its own set of challenges. Startups often need rapid, cost-effective solutions to automate processes, while larger companies are looking to integrate AI seamlessly into complex financial workflows. Despite their differences, every business I encounter shares a common goal: to streamline operations and make smarter financial decisions with the help of AI.

When I first started selling the product, I was still finding my footing in the world of software sales. I faced a lot of rejection and numerous objections—from concerns over data security and AI accuracy to skepticism about replacing manual processes. I quickly learned that rejection wasn't personal; it was a chance to learn and refine my approach.

Key lessons I've picked up along the way include:

  • **Understanding Objections: **

Often, a “no” masks deeper concerns—like doubts about cost, the fear of change, or a simple lack of understanding about AI's potential. Listening carefully and addressing these issues head-on has been critical.

  • **Educating Prospects: **

Instead of pushing for a sale, a way better strategy is to educate potential clients by sharing real-world examples of how JustPaid can optimize financial operations—like automating invoice processes.

  • Persistence Pays Off:

Building trust takes time. As one of my colleagues once said, each “no” brings you closer to a “yes.”

  • **Leveraging Feedback: **

Every rejection or objection is an opportunity to learn. I continuously refine my approach by incorporating feedback, ensuring that my pitch remains relevant and persuasive.

  • **Continuous Learning: **

I'm still in the process of learning. With time and experience, I've gained the confidence to tackle new challenges and let go of my fears. The more time I dedicate to mastering the product and understanding it in depth, the better equipped I'll be to provide value to the clients.

Being a Colombian professional working for a U.S.-based company has enriched my career in unexpected ways. It has expanded my network, exposed me to diverse perspectives, and broadened my understanding of global business practices. This journey has not only sharpened my sales strategies but also boosted my confidence. I'm excited to see where this journey leads, and I'm ready to continue learning, adapting, and contributing to a future where AI drives smarter, more efficient business decisions.

A Vision for the Future

I have immense faith in the potential of AI in finance. As more companies realize that automation isn't just a luxury but a necessity, the landscape will continue to evolve. While some organizations are optimistic to integrate AI, others remain tied to manual methods. I understand this transition is challenging, and change takes time, but the trend is clear: AI is here to stay.

Looking forward, I see AI not only optimizing current financial processes but also transforming them—predicting trends, preventing revenue loss, and unlocking new growth opportunities. I truly believe that as businesses become more comfortable with AI, JustPaid will continue to expand and deliver even greater value to its clients.

Usage-Based Billing for AI Companies: A Practical Guide

85% of SaaS companies now use some form of usage-based pricing, up from 30% in 2019.
